An Awesome New Podcast
When I heard that one of my favorite bloggers and YouTubers was launching a podcast, I so hoped it would live up to my expectations. Estée LaLonde's new podcast, The Heart of It, did not disappoint. This was honestly one of the most unique podcasts I've ever listened to, just in the sheer production value. It was so clear that Estée had given her Protest episode a lot of serious consideration. She begins with a couple of personal anecdotes that illustrate how polarizing and confusing protests can be, but also how empowering and cathartic they have the potential to be when done right. I loved hearing more about Estée's personal experiences. Her interview with her guest, Nina, the author of the Nasty Woman poem read by Ashley Judd at the Women's March in DC, was thoughtful, poignant, and informative. Both women are so easy to relate to and inspiring--it felt like I was eavesdropping on a conversation between my two good friends. I can't wait to listen to the future episodes of The Heart of It--I know this one will definitely a regular on my podcast rotation. Estée promises that the new episodes will be released later this month--make sure you subscribe so you don't miss it!
